For decades, Westminster Presbyterian Church has been participating in hunger relief activities and donating funds to those efforts.
Then, in September 2018, in an effort to make a difference at home, WPC began to serve dinners for anyone who interested in a hot meal on Thursday evenings.
Menus are based on a home cooked meal philosophy and served by volunteers with dignity. Holidays and special occasions are observed with traditional fare.
Guests become family and the family grows. Meals served grew from about 20 meals per dinner to over 100; often over 200. One dinner logged 400 meals.
Today, the Community Dinners are held twice a month at:
Westminster Presbyterian Church
830 N Annie Glidden Road
DeKalb, IL 60115
Free. All are welcome.
This means you. Come and eat.
